great week with a sad end

This week was awesome! We spent our P-day trying to get into the fancy hotels to see what they're like on the inside. Look up "Sandy Lane" in Barbados. That was the fanciest one we tried to get into. They wouldn't let us in.

We told the guy at the gate that we were thinking of staying there someday and he laughed at us and said only celebrities stay there. We asked who and he said Oprah, Justin Timberlake, Simon Cowell, BeyoncĂ© and Jay-Z just to name a few.
some of the people mentioned above

oprah

So fancy. He told us not to tell anyone the people who he said stayed there. HA! It's out in the world now! It was so pretty from the outside!

We're trying to help this family get back to church and it's been really difficult. We saw their scriptures and all the church manuals in the garbage outside their house so yeah. They've been a struggle. The son is 14 and loves bikes so I have become fast friends with him!

It makes me sad that we just drive around so much here! We've been trying to work a lot in these two areas of Christ Church. Lower Burnies amd Hagget Hall. Everyone there recognizes us now which is good. We have friends we're teaching and that we just see all the time! It's fun.

Here is a good quote from this week:
"...It's like people that take drugs, I'm addicted! I'm addicted to the spirit!"
That is Sister Alleyne, a recent convert in the church. She loves the feeling of the spirit when she reads or prays or when we visit. She is so cute and funny and old! She always says weird things like that.

This week was so positive and happy! We had a day where everyone that we visited mentioned the spirit we brought with us. Sister Cadet (a member in the branch) said that we always had so much love with us and that we just gave it to everyone we met. Ester (a cute cute lady in our neighborhood who is investigating the church) said that there is just something so light about us and we were always so happy! Carl (a guy we actually ran into just this week!) said that he defiantly felt good things coming from us. And Sister Alleyne said that she is always so happy when we come and we leave such a peace when we're gone. It was so nice to hear that!

I saw a sea turtle this morning! We all went to the beach together for the last time and there was a big ol' sea turtle in the water that poked it's head out a few times! It was so cool! I didn't have my camera though.

The sad end is that SISTER CHARTERS IS LEAVING ME! She was my trainer and training is usually 2 transfers long. They are taking her a transfer early! It's so so sad! That is the sad end.

These pictures are the street that we live on with some nice palms

and me with a recent convert named Brother Kirton. I asked what we should do in the picture and he said "guns". So I am posing with "guns" on my mission.
