Mission Split!

So as of July 1st the West Indies Mission doesn't exist anymore! I am now part of the Barbados Bridgetown mission. The mission includes the English speaking islands of Barbados, St. Lucia, St. Vincent, Grenada and St. Martin and the French speaking islands of Guadeloupe, Martinique and French Guyana (which is actually in South America).
I have served in both sides of the mission and it seems so weird that Trinidad and Tobago, Guyana, and the Dutch side aren't in the mission anymore! It seems so small! After I traveled to Trinidad for Mission Leadership Conference I thought I would never see that side of the mission again.
For zone conference they fly the small islands (with less missionaries) together so the Mehrs don't have to fly all over. This was around 3 weeks ago now. None of the missionaries in Grenada had their visas to leave the country and be able to get in again so we weren't able to fly into Barbados as planned. We were at risk for not being able to be part of President Mehr's last Zone conference!!! But with a lot of prayers and fasting we were able to fly to... Trinidad! It took a lot of miracles but it happened! It was spiritually uplifting as always. I don't think a single eye was dry when the Mehrs gave their final testimonies. I have learned so much from the example President and Sister Mehr have set for all of us. I have learned to love the doctrine of the gospel and that the Lords blessings only come when we are obedient and just how important the gospel is. I love both of them so much and will defiantly miss them.
Yesterday we got to meet the Herringtons. They are from Vancouver BC so they knew exactly where I was from! They are super happy and excited to have this amazing opportunity to serve the Lord in the best mission ever!! (sorry Trinidad Port of Spain mission...)
I am to grateful to be part of the beginnings of such a great mission!

The picture is of me with the Mehrs!
